Its actually comforting to see communities of college conservatives. Im in England and therefore have to put up with the hypocrisy that is Tony Blair and his so called government! Although the tories gained alot more seats during the Election this year, and hopefully after all the screw ups the British public wont vote Labour again during the next election.
So I thought I'd introduce myself,Im AnneMarie, Im 20, a young tory and passionate about politics with very few young conservative mates as they seemed to have been brainwashed elsewhere, so it will be great to talk to people who have similar beliefs as myself.
Its time the World had some decent leadership.

Hey, I've seen some people posting things from different news sites, and since I am starting a blog, it’s got me to wonder. Is it ok to take pictures from say NBC and post them in your blog? Or is that a bad thing? Also, in the same light is it ok to post parts of an article in your blog? I'm sure I should cite the author of the stories, and the web site where I found the news article but is that enough?

Hello. My name is Jeff and I just joined this group and many other conservative groups yesterday because I do not have any conservative friends. I come from a Republican family and I work in a company filled with Republicans but I do not fit into their group of friends because of my age. I go to school and all of my friends there are Democrats or just plain Anti-Bush. I have for so long kept quiet about my Political views because I knew that it would be a sore spot with them. However, after President Ronald Reagans death I have chosen not to be silent anymore.
I have listened to conservative radio and watched Fox News for at least 2 years. I know where I stand politically and I am tired of dealing with Liberals on my own. I look forward to making many friends in these groups.
I have also signed up to volunteer for the Bush 04 campaign and cant wait until I can do something to help in this years election.
I hate that our country has become a country that walks on egg shells and how it has become so PC. The only source of strength comes for Conservative thought and this needs to become more prevalent in our society.
Thank you for allowing me to join your community. – Jeff Revier

It used to tick me off when the Muslim detractors in the Middle East, or the socialist detractors in Europe, Hollywood and others called our President a cowboy, but the more I think about it, the more glad I am that he is.

When I was a kid, cowboys were my heroes.
Well, I mean the ones in the white hats, not the black hats,
who were usually the bad guys.
There was Tex Ritter, Tom Mix, Buck Jones,
Hopalong Cassidy, the Lone Ranger.....
there was Red Ryder, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers......
then later, there was Marshall Matt Dillon,
Hoss & Li'l Joe Cartwright,
Paladin, Maverick and others....
Rawhide's Rowdy Yates
What were common attributes of these legendary cowboys?
Here are a few:
1. They were never looking for trouble.
2. But when trouble came, they faced it with courage.
3. They were always on the side of right.
4. They defended good people against bad people.
5. They had high morals.
6. They had good manners.
7. They were honest.
8. They spoke their minds and they spoke the truth,
regardless of what people thought or "political
correctness,"which no one had ever heard of back then."
9. They were a beacon of integrity in the wild, wild West.
10. They were respected. When they walked into a saloon
(where they usually drank only sarsaparilla),
the place became quiet, and the bad guys kept their distance.
11. If in a gunfight, they could outdraw anyone. If in a
fist fight, they could beat up anyone.
12. They always won. They always got their man. In victory, they rode
off into the sunset.
Those were the days when there was such a thing as right and
wrong,
something blurred in our modern world, and denied by many.
Now, as a senior citizen, I still like cowboys..
They represent something good -- something pure that America has been missing.
Ronald Reagan was a cowboy.
I like Ronald Reagan, who was brave, positive, and who gave
us hope.
He wore a white hat. To the consternation of his liberal
critics, he had the courage to call a spade a spade and call the former Soviet
Union what it was -- the evil empire. Liberals hated Ronald Reagan.
They also hate President Bush because he distinguishes
between good and evil. He calls a spade a spade, and after 9-11 called evil
"evil," without mincing any words, to the shock of the liberal establishment. That's what cowboys do, you know.
He also told the French to "put their cards on the
table" (old West
talk), which they did, exposing their cowardice and greed.
The radical Muslims are wrong.*
In the old West, might did not make right.
Right made might.
Cowboys in white hats were always on the side of right, and
that was their might.
I am glad my President is a cowboy.
He got his man!
Cowboys do, you know.

  Hullo Conservative College Students,
I figured I ought to introduce myself:
My name is Mary Nixon, and I am NOT related to President Nixon. Well, atleast not to my grandfathers research! ^.~
So yeah. I'm a freshman at Central Washington University (GO WILDCATS!) and the daughter of a Republican State Representative in Washington State. :D I'm well adapted to the world of politics, and am excitingly enough planning to major in Political Science (surprise surprise!) and German (meine Lieblingssprache!) and yeah!
:D

Tschau!
Mary
Have a wonderful, conservative day!! :D
Have you hit a liberal on the head today?

To the Conservative University/College Student Community.
This is a place where we can share the pains, pleasures, and interesting things that go on by being a conservative student.

I don't know about you, but I know where I go to school, it seems like I'm endlessly drowning in a pool of liberalism. Every where I turn there is something that is democratic or liberal, or worse, COMMUNIST. :p I am always getting into debates about whether things are right or wrong, and fighting over and defending my values and ideologies.

There are plenty of hot topics we could talk about... you know what they are. Well, hopefully many of us will be on the same page or side when it comes to those issues -- and maybe be able to help arm each other with solid arguements against the opposing side.

I hope that with this community, those of use who are conservative and in college can stand together as we wade through the pressures of being college students, and being held accountable for our points of view.

This group isn't just for republicans, this is for who ever considers themself the conservative and is in college. As I know, you do not have to be republican to be conservative. :D

Thank you so much for looking at this group, and perhaps considering joining the cause.

Sincerely,
Your Devoted Moderator, maryberrylds

Oh, and if you are also totally republican -- think about joining the College Republicans collegegop
